Date Night Prep

Me, in the (very dirty) mirror, getting ready for "date night" tonight. Since the girls sleep over at my parents' house every Saturday night, Steve & I decided we should go out those nights. Tonight, we just went right down the street for dinner and a few beers at the bar, but it was nice.

(Wow. I kind of look like a crackhead in that photo with those dark circles under my eyes. LOL! They didn't really look like that in real life. I swear. See? I look rather normal. Stupid dirty mirror and bad lighting. LMAO!)

No child should have this many stuffed animals. And yet, this is literally only about half of them (if that). Grace LOVES her stuffed animals. But if she keeps acquiring them, the humans in the house may have to move out.

And I'm behind in posting these, so here are my digital scrapbooking layouts for weeks 3 and 4 of Project 365, as well as my completed monthly layout for January. :)

I looked forward to the season premiere of "LOST" all day today. And it didn't disappoint. Sweet.

Today we FINALLY started gutting the sunroom that connects to our kitchen. We were supposed to do it (literally) 3 years ago, but well, you know how that goes.

Anyway, when the girls got home from school/daycare they wanted to "help." So here's Grace (with Steve) prying nails out of a piece of the plywood Steve pulled down from the walls.

Pillow Fight

Steve and the girls having a pillow fight. This means they hurl pillows at each other as fast and as hard as possible. Lovely.

My

This is my home within my home. The place where I sit for the majority of my day (and night). Where I work... where I "play"... where I keep in touch with the outside world. This, my friends, is my haven.

(I went on my interview today and when I got home, I found that Steve had rearranged half the downstairs. He pushed those two shelving units on either side of the desk and I'm LOVING it. For the record though, everything ON those shelves was just thrown back on there since I found it scattered everywhere when I got home. Tomorrow I'll go through everything and move things around, etc. The new arrangement also explains why there are photos hanging BEHIND the furniture in this picture. Men are asses. LOL!)

Writing Samples

I spent a good portion of today putting together writing samples for an interview I have tomorrow. It's a royal pain in the ass because I have to strip out previous clients' names and other information, so I spent hours doing just that. Sounds like fun, no? LOL!

So here's a little glimpse into the world of a technical writer and the kinds of things I write about when someone pays me to do it. It makes y'all want to run out and get some schooling to become a tech writer, no?

Um... yeah... didn't think so...

Writing Samples Overview

(PS: I REALLY want this job tomorrow for so many reasons. So any extra vibes/good luck you could spare would be greatly appreciated.)

Happy Birthday Grandma!

My family all met at my parents' house today to celebrate my mom's birthday (which was Thursday). This is Grace eating some birthday cake. I think she was stuffed, but kept eating anyway. LOL!

(I used Phaunt Actions Glam It Soft action on this photo.)
