So… I decided I wanted to take a self-portrait in my “natural” state. No makeup… no Photoshopping out my bags and circles under my eyes… no skin smoothing techniques… etc. I’m not really sure why, actually. It was just something I felt like doing because I was bored. So here it is. I applied an ACR preset (which just changed the coloring a bit) and sharpened for web. But I didn’t do any other of my usual “fixes” to it.

Here I am in all my glory. Eye bags, dark circles, laugh lines, and uneven skin. Enjoy. LOL!

AND because the girls were so funny last night, I’m posting this one too. These kids kill me.

Grace brought home the journal she's been working on all year in school. It's sooo cute (and funny)! They were given a prompt every day, and then had to write something and draw a picture. I'm going to put it in a binder and pull it out whenever I'm in a bad mood. Because there's no way you could read them and not smile.

Grace getting nailed with a snowball. Steve threw it (at Grace's request) and she thought it was hilarious when she got hit. I should add that snapping the picture right when she got hit was pure luck. Steve was actually behind me, so I couldn't see him or when he was throwing it. I just happened to snap the picture right as the snowball hit her and exploded. LOL!

Grace came home last night and was so proud to tell us she's been named Student of the Month in her class for January. :) We had to fill out this profile paper to hang in the hallway at her school and her name will be in our town's local paper later this month. Way to go, girl!

Flickr Group for Project 365

Hey guys. Quick side post. There's a Flickr group for Project 365 (actually, 366 this year since it's a Leap Year). If you already have a Flickr account and upload your Project photos there anyway, you can join this group and add them to the pool. If not, you can still go browse. There's a TON of ideas/inspiration/etc. and it's cool looking at everyone else's photos everyday. If you're ever at a loss for what to photograph one day, head on over there.
